Include the app version, iOS version, approximate time, reproduction steps, and screenshots. The app-generated diagnostic summary does not include GPS coordinates or route payloads. Do not email backup passwords, Apple Account passwords, or complete route files unless you understand the privacy risk.
Common questions
Why can't Trail Trip read my Apple Health workouts?
Confirm that your iPhone contains hiking, walking, running, or cycling workouts and allow access under Health → profile → Apps and Services → Trail Trip. Apple does not tell an app whether read access was denied or no data exists, so both cases can appear empty.
Does Trail Trip modify Apple Health?
No. Trail Trip requests read access only and never writes, changes, or deletes workouts or routes in Apple Health.
What syncs to iCloud?
Only after you enable it, confirmed trips, preferences, poster presets, imported external assets, and minimal workout-matching data needed for device migration sync. GPS routes originating from Apple Health are never uploaded. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete iCloud data?
Use Delete Cloud Data in the app's iCloud settings and confirm the warning. Pausing sync only stops transfers; it does not delete cloud or local content.
What if I forgot my backup password?
Encrypted backup passwords are not sent to the developer and cannot be recovered. Keep the password safe; a backup that cannot be decrypted cannot be imported.
Why didn't my subscription or restored purchase activate?
Confirm the device uses the Apple Account that made the purchase, remain online, and select Restore Purchases in Trail Trip settings. Apple handles billing and refunds. If the issue remains, send us the error text, but never send full payment details.
Why do maps or elevation ascent differ from another app?
GPS accuracy, pause detection, route smoothing, elevation sources, and algorithms differ. Trail Trip does not replace distance, duration, or elevation-ascent values supplied by Apple Health with GPS-derived values.
Service status and response
Trail Trip has no developer-operated account or route backend. Outages in Apple Health, MapKit, App Store, or CloudKit may affect related features. Support email is answered within a reasonable time but is not a real-time emergency service.
